What to wear to the beach in summer

The best time is in the sunny summer – It's vacation time! And it should be noted that such a long-awaited vacation usually begins with the hustle and bustle of packing suitcases. You don’t want to carry a heavy burden with you, but on a trip you need to take comfortable, fashionable, spectacular things that are suitable for sunbathing, for walks or an evening prom. What to choose from your favorite clothes, what new to buy, and how to dress for the beach – This will be discussed in this material.

The right approach to choosing a swimsuit

It would seem that there is nothing special about a swimsuit to worry about. But designers even have changing requirements for this small wardrobe item. So the search for a current model for the upcoming season will not be an exception. It is the swimsuit, as the main element of your outfit, that attracts attention on the beach. All other things are selected according to it.

There will be several options for this season:

  • bandeau bikini. A two-piece with high-waisted bottoms and a bandage-style bodice. The top has no straps and the bandeau is said to suit any body type. It visually enlarges small breasts due to push-up or folds. Massive hips are balanced by a wide stripe of the bodice;
  • swimsuits in which the top is a sports top and the bottom – swimming trunks of a different color. Most often, the bodice is decorated with a print in a tropical or animal style, and the panties are plain, or vice versa;
  • monokini – models where the top and bottom are conventionally fused, but at the same time the figure remains as open as possible, unlike sports swimsuits;
  • Cocktail bikini. A one-piece option, more reminiscent of a minidress. It is designed for parties by the water. Can be decorated with feathers, rhinestones, drapery. Very elegant, there is only one “BUT”: swimming in the sea in it is not convenient. Yes, and it’s not accepted. But listening to jazz by the pool – just right;
    retro kits. Swimsuits that are reminiscent of fashion magazine covers from the 1950s. Very high rise, shorts, closed bodices with thick straps and buckles. Looks interesting!
  • Tankinis, popular for several years (sets where instead of a bra there is a long top with straps), are becoming a thing of the past. However, the ruffles and folds that they brought to beach fashion remain. Other decorative options for swimsuits include fringe, mesh and nautical prints.

Which dress to choose for relaxing by the water

How to choose clothes for the beach

Swimming and sunbathing take up most of the time, but sometimes you have to walk or drive to the pond, and in the evening take a walk along the embankment or sit in a restaurant. And excursions should not be excluded from your plans – active recreation is useful and educational. So you will need light and beautiful clothes that you can throw on a swimsuit and look into a coastal cafe or shop, or leave the hotel.

When choosing the right option from light and beautiful dresses, do not forget about the key requirements:

  • flying fabric that breathes and dries instantly, even if you put the dress on a wet swimsuit;
  • loose cut, which can be easily removed and does not restrict movement;
  • fashionable colors. The trends include marine patterns, full-color floral prints with large exotic flowers and birds of paradise, and ethnic patterns. Knitted dresses with openwork patterns, linen options with embroidery or mesh of various lengths are very popular.

In a resort environment there are no strict requirements for the color and style of clothing. It all depends on individual taste, the ability to emphasize the figure and the desire to attract attention. The fashion industry provides unlimited choice – short or floor-length sundresses, open and more closed dresses, spacious tunics, simple and with flounces, spectacular kimonos. It’s up to you to decide whether to bring bright or white things, colorful or plain, in a romantic or sporty style.

Pareo and romper, or what to wear on the beach over a swimsuit

Bright pieces of fabric that girls used to cover themselves from the sun at all resorts around the world are coming off the beach catwalk. Their place is taken by summer ponchos and tunics that transform from pareos.

This season, in recommendations for how to dress for the beach for a woman, stylists emphasize that pareos are more reminiscent of capes, grabbed at the shoulders or on the sides. They are worn loosely or tucked under a belt. Complete the set with beads, bright earrings or an interesting beach bag.

Another fashionable summer attribute – cropped romper. These are mini overalls with elastic bands, straps, and frills on the shoulders. However, bandeau-type bodices, without straps, are also relevant. The romper creates a playful look and mood. Just don't forget to put cream on your shoulders, otherwise you'll burn right along the way.
